Every crystal has a different purpose, from invoking strength and guidance, to raising your energy and protecting your heart. Our hand-picked pieces are carefully selected to gently guide you toward the expression of your most radiant self, but it’s important that you pick a piece that resonates with you. Trust yourself. Scientifically speaking, crystals are the most orderly structure that exists in nature. Humans have been using them for eons, to heal, restore, and enhance physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance. The Ancient Egyptians used them for protection and health, or sometimes, ground to a powder for eye shadow (those Egyptians were très chic). Ancient Greeks wore crystals to ward off all sorts of maladies, including hangovers (we hear ya Hercules!) and the Maoris of New Zealand wore jade pendants to connect with ancestral spirits.

Today, crystals are used in all sorts of ways, some highly functional (think computer chips, analog watches, even wrinkle cream) and some more esoteric. At Sundari, we use them to help balance and enhance your natural beauty, inside and out.

Aside from their raw beauty, crystals have the extraordinary ability to store, transmit, and transform energy. Think of them as tools that can tune into your own energy centers, and help you focus, shift, and transform. But, like most things in life, crystals don’t represent an instant fix – to get the most out of them you need to consciously select stones that you’re drawn to, and then approach them with an open mind and an open heart.

Step 1: Hold your crystal in your hand and quiet your mind with a few moments of silence or meditation.
Step 2: Set an intention. An intention is like a prayer or a deep aspiration, anything that feels right for you. If you’ve chosen lapis lazuli for example, you might set your intention as, “I’d like this crystal to help me speak my truth.”
Step 3: Wear your crystal-detailed Sundari suit, think about your intention, and feel the energy flow, guiding you to the highest expression of yourself.
Step 4: Every time you clean your crystal (instructions on that below), reset your intention to help it take root.

Crystals store energy from everyone and everything they come into contact with. Sound intense? Well if you’ve spent the day surrounded by a cranky co-worker, or if your crystals have been lost in the trunk of your car for a while, let’s just say they may not be in top form. The good news is, cleaning your crystals can help reset their energy and keep the conduits clear for good vibes. Here’s how:

· Give your crystals a sunlight or moonlight bath by placing them outside, in full view of the light, for anywhere between 4 and 24 hours. A full moon is particularly powerful for crystal cleansing, but any light is purifying. · “Wash” your crystals in sacred smoke using a sage smudge stick and gently moving your crystals through the purifying smoke. Do this in a well-ventilated area so that the energy doesn’t remain the space but can dissipate, and obviously be careful when using fire and smoke.
· Recharge your crystals in nature. This will reset them to the vibration of the earth. Place them outside, in soil, for 24 hours, or hang them on the branches of a healthy tree or houseplant.
